Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE - Awards Ceremony

On September 16, 2010 the X PRIZE Foundation and Progressive Insurance gave away $10 Million for automobiles that achieved greater than 100 MPGe (miles per gallon energy equivalence)... and we were very proud to produce the awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.  This "main event" centered the awarding of three checks to the winning teams, but also featured an impressive group of speakers that included House Speaker Pelosi, Sen. Mark Warner, White House OSTP Director Dr. Holdren, Rep. Edward Markey, and Swiss Ambassador Urs Ziswiler.

It was truly a team effort requiring a broad range of partners that handled everything from they the very complicated logistics of managing multiple events in multiple locations throughout the city to ensuring that the public was informed with over 3.6 billion media impressions.

As a part of this team, we were most able to leverage our content and technical expertise in managing and produing the following elements:

• Agenda - developing and managing the how-flow to maximize speaker time and avialablity as well as mainatin an engaging and inspiring program for the audience.
• Talking Points and Scripting - writing the talking points for all of the external speakers and working with their writers and communications teams to ensure their message aligned with the Foundation's goals.  Working with the Emcee and other speakers to script opening and closing segments, write transitions and ensure the program had a cohesive message.
• On-Screen Design and Content - designing the on-screen graphics to support the stage-content, including specialized motion graphics to highlight the acomplishments of the winning teams.
• Speaker Logistics - working with the staff of our multiple high-level speakers to ensure that they were all able to cordinate their participation and deliver their message without having to wory about any logistical concerns.
• Audio Visual Production - working closely with the event managment team and managing the audio visual vendors to ensure that the production equipment supported the content and goals of the program while coming in under budget.
